work in progress

The last few weeks seems to have all been ‘work in progress’.

I got to know the guys at The Saville Collective recently; they seem to have a busy community and I’m preparing 3 arrangements. Another song has come from Neal Handforth and Steller at AAA Management, and a beautiful Latin song from . On top of that a ‘sample recreation’ job has just arrived (I love those) – this one is from a 70s disco track, Jade Gallagher needed an orchestral score for a gig with the BBC Concert Orchestra (Jade Gallagher) and Henry Priestman has a new album project. Chatting with Henry about his songs, I took the opportunity to record a Skype interview with him for my podcast series on working in music.

Richard Jay

I shouldn’t be suprised by the many guises of library music anymore – Richard Jay sent me a brave, powerful composition featuring celtic pipes (a very famous player) and strings which he is producing as a library track.  He puts immense effort into his writing with great attention to detail – I’m sure I will hear the track in a film or tv drama in the near future.
